TODAY! TODAY! TODAY! The big event is finally here! The Pittsburg Garden Tour is today from 8-2! Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at 2nd & Broadway starting at 7:30. It's going to be a beautiful day in Pittsburg! 

Don't forget lunch will be served at the Hotel Stilwell, 7th & Broadway, for $6 and there will be a Gardeners Market at 2nd & Broadway, with plants and garden-themed items for sale.

Garden Club Meeting: May 19 @ 5:30 p.m.

MAY GARDEN CLUB MEETING: The May Garden Club meeting will be held on Monday, May 19 at the home of Maxine Conrad, 415 W. Adams. Hosts will be John and Shirley Knightly and Betty Peterson. Please bring a lawn chair. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m .

Before the meeting begins, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., you will have the opportunity to tour two gardens. We will tour Kathy Nicholas' rose garden, 413 W. Adams, and Mark Row and Zetta Varns' garden, 1812 S. Catalpa.

In conjunction with the Pittsburg Garden Tour, a special Garden Tour Luncheon will be hosted by Angels Among Us on June 14. The menu will be delicious tea sandwiches, garden salad, dessert and beverage for $6.00. It is time to SUIT UP for the upcoming garden tour!

Calling upon ALL ZONE 6 CLUB MEMBERS to contact Carol Schultz if you have not yet signed up for a 2 hour time to work on the day of the tour. This is an expectation of club members, it is a 2 hour obligation so that all positions can be filled and no one has to be asked to work more than 2 hours.

The tour booklets/tickets were handed out at the last meeting. The goal, of course, is a “SOLD OUT” tour. Janice Evans is the chairperson for ticket sales. If you have already sold your first 10, contact Janice to get more.

Garden Club Meeting: April 28 @ 6:30 p.m.

APRIL GARDEN CLUB MEETING: Join us on Monday, April 28, at 6:30 p.m. at First Christian Church, 705 E Centennial Dr., for the April Garden Club Meeting.

John Harrison, from In The Garden, will be sharing ideas on pruning shrubs and trees. He will also be discussing the differences in pricing for flowers. There will be a time for questions and answers, so get your gardening questions ready!

We will also be finalizing all the details regarding the Pittsburg Garden Tour to be held on June 14.

Refreshments will be served.

Planting of the Downtown Urns - May 1

Help is needed planting the Pittsburg downtown urns. Just bring your garden gloves and trowel, and meet at the Arvest Bank parking lot, on May 1st, 5:30 p.m. It takes about an hour and carts to carry the potting soil will be provided.

Wesley House Garden Party & Plant Sale – Sponsorships Available

Wesley House Garden Party & Plant Sale will be held on Saturday, May 3. All sponsors who donate a minimum of $50.00 will be acknowledged in the Morning Sun and at the Garden Party and if given before April 30th the donation can be counted towards their Feinstein Challenge.
